April 2022
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you have all had a lovely Easter break and managed to take advantage of the sunny days we have had. Long may they continue! I can’t believe we are entering the summer term already – they do say time flies when you are having fun! What a busy five weeks it is shaping up to be, but I know that our super star Remarkable Rabbits will embrace each day and continue to work hard to Be The Best They Can Be!
Our new topic is called Castles, Knights and Dragons and I am sure the children will love the things we have in store! A prince or princess one day – sleighing dragons another! Life is very busy in Y2 at The Ellis!
We hope the newsletter attached will explain what we are learning about as well as giving you some ideas for your home learning projects. Please remember that we do ask children to complete some home learning each half term and to bring / send it into school. This could be one longer piece or a few shorter pieces. We look forward to seeing what they get up to!
Here are some quick reminders for the coming weeks ahead:
Finally, please note the date we sent out about the Whirlow Residential parent’s meeting which is on Thursday 26th May at 5pm. Here packs will be given out and any questions answered! Exciting times ahead! Please ensure you have completed full payment for the residential by Friday 6th May as we have to send off the final payment to Whirlow after this. There are lots of whole school things happening this term as well, so please keep an eye out for your emails!
We will keep in touch over the coming weeks and if you have any enquiries, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kindest Regards
Y2 team
