Competitions and Events

Children from each key stage regularly take part in events and competitions against other schools. 

We are a member of the Hoyland Sport Partnership, and we have weekly competitions against up to 10 other local schools within our cluster.  We also attend many events facilitated by the School Games Organiser for Barnsley. We have enjoyed success in many of these events often reaching the finals.

One day per term we run an enrichment day. This allows children the opportunity to take part in sports they may not have had the opportunity to try before e.g. archery, team building military style, climbing wall, inflatables and taekwondo to name a few. 

We are immensely proud of all the children who take part in sport, both in and out of school, and have seen a large uptake in girls attending more local clubs after experiencing competitions and event days.  All our children will get an opportunity throughout the year to attend an event both in and out of school.
